ohne worte darüber zu schreiben keine worte zu benutzen um dann viele worte zu benutzen um der komplexität der frage ein bischen gerecht zu werden um dann doch zu merken dass worte nur worte sind und all das gar nicht sagen können – ah ich habe kopfschmerzen – vielleicht also einfach auf worte verzichten – aber bilder und klänge sind auch worte geworden – nullen und einsen – nichts als abstraktionen – keine worte benutzen – schon, es gibt solche und solche worte, und da schwingt noch viel mit – schon – aber nur worte worte worte – lieber ohne worte

writing outside of words about not using words and finally using plenty not to underestimate the complexity of the quest finally realising that words are just words and cannot express all this – ahh my head is aching – so maybe simply forgo words – but images and sounds have also become words – noughts and ones – nothing but abstractions – so go without words – well there are different kinds of words and many things vibrate through them – but words only words words words – better outside of words
Silvan Schmid
Silvan Schmid is a trumpet player based in Switzerland and Netherlands. He plays live and did recordings with projects such as Solo, Gamut Kollektiv, Alex Riva, Eddé Khouri/Glanzmann/Schmid, Elio Amberg, Amereller/Schmid/Wheatley, Bertrand Denzler, Eddie Prévost, Lingens/Punkt/Schmid, Hum, Bottom Orchestra.
He is a member of the Gamut Kollektiv which has as its purpose to explore, to seek and to set new things in motion; it serves as a fruitful breeding ground for ideas, experiments and new processes. In addition to the annual Gamut Festival they run the label Edition Gamut, and organize different concert series in Zurich.
